Marissa Alvarez is a senior at Monmouth University, majoring in Communications with a specialization in Journalism and Public Relations. She'll be graduating in May 2025. Her passion for writing led her to pursue this major and is continuously gaining knowledge and experience in the industry as she builds her career as a journalist. As of March 2024, she became a published writer with her work in the March/April 2024 edition of "VUE NJ" magazine. She is experienced with SEO-optimized writing and writing articles for blogs and magazines.

Her experience also includes working as a magazine journalist for "VUE NJ," a hip-hop album reviewer for "MXDWN," and a staff writer for Monmouth University's student-run newspaper, "The Outlook."

To add on, she also taps into the Public Relations side of her major as well. She recently has been gaining experience as a Conference Coordinator at Monmouth University. She has gaining skills regarding, event planning, setting up events and working with clients.
